FORUM RULES


Forum rules apply to threads, posts, customizable user information, public profiles, private messaging and any other section of the forum.

1. INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT
Posting of content of an excessively inappropriate nature is not permitted. This would include anything including, but not limited to, content containing racism, discrimination (such as sexuality, age, religion) directed at certain people, discussion of an overtly sexual nature and posting unacceptable pictures, images, links or URLs to sites that contain excessively inappropriate content. Unacceptable images include, but are not limited to, images that include full frontal nudity or images of extreme violence/gore.

Discussion of drugs/illicit substances is permitted however any in depth conversation regarding the (mis)use of those illicit substances will be removed from the forum. We do not condone the use of drugs, and for that reason any ‘advice’ being given on methods to utilise drugs will also be removed.

Discussions of a highly sexual nature will also be removed from the forum. While general discussion about sex and things relating to sex is permitted, it is advised that discretion is used when discussing these topics.

Moderators will issue punishment/remove content that they deem is of an unacceptable level.

2. SWEARING & THE FORUM FILTER
While swearing isn’t encouraged on the forum it is permitted to do so if it is embedded in a quality, legitimate post and isn’t of a highly offensive nature. General profanity is permitted, but excessive use of swear words in posts will result in the post being removed from the forum and an infraction issued depending on the severity of usage. In addition, profanity is not permitted in thread titles.

A filter does exist on the forum. This filter censors any language which forum management have deemed to be of a ‘highly offensive manner’. Anyone avoiding this filter in order to express these censored words will have their post(s) removed.

While swearing is permitted, any profanity aimed at defaming, insulting or otherwise directed at any other member on the forum is not permitted.

3. HARASSMENT & DEFAMATION
CAF endeavours to provide every member of the forum with an enjoyable experience and for this reason any form of bullying, insulting, harassment or defamation will not be permitted.

4. PERSONAL INFORMATION & PICTURES
Users are permitted to share their email addresses, social networking links and instant messenger contact details publically at their own discretion. The sharing of residential addresses, telephone numbers or any other personally identifying information is not to be shared publically on the forum. It is within the users’ discretion if they wish to share this information via the private messaging system.

The posting of personal photos/pictures is permitted on the forum, regardless of age. However, members are not permitted to post photos/pictures of other members of the forum without the express permission of that member.

The posting of friends or family is permitted – however if they request the photo to be taken down the photo will be removed.

No personal photos should contain inappropriate content. This includes background imagery or digitally edited content.

5. ADVERTISING
The advertising of other forums is prohibited. General discussion about a forum is permitted (ie. one link to that forum), however excessive posting of links and/or promotion of other forums is not permitted. Referral schemes are not permitted however articles such as eBay listings are permitted.

6. SPAM/OFF TOPIC & DOUBLE POSTS
Threads created in forums other than the spam forum must adhere to that forum’s topic. This includes all posts contained within that thread. Any posts that are not relevant to the thread topic will be removed. Persistent spamming will result in an infraction. In addition, thread titles outside of the spam forum must be relevant to the thread content.

Posts within threads outside of the spam forum must be of a contributing nature and not be pointless (eg. smilies or one/few worded posts). If someone cannot reply to your post with more than one sentence (providing they wish to) – it will be classified as spam.

Double posting is generally not permitted, however if it is to further contribute to a thread, it is permitted (eg. to post more pictures). Generally, we encourage users to use the edit button instead. Discretion should be used and no more than two posts in a row by a user should be submitted. Double posting in the spam forum is not permitted. This is to ensure that there is not a build up of meaningless posts.

NB: Forum staff are exempted from this rule.

7. SIGNATURE LIMITS
Normal Members: 500x125
Elite Members: 500x200

That includes BOTH images AND text. In other words, both, images and text must fit within the limits specified above. If you are an Elite Member, it is your responsibility to ensure that your signature meets the "Normal Member" requirements for when your Elite expires. Right alignment is fine, as long as the image size doesn't override the limit, and the page isn't stretched. Animations in signatures are allowed for Elite Members.

Quotes in signatures will not be counted towards the signature limit due to their default coding on the forum, however excessive use of quotes will result in the signature being removed.

8. PRIVATE MESSAGES
By using this forum, you accept that CAF reserves the right to review and delete any private message for any or no reason.

9. MODERATION
The reversal of moderator actions is not permitted on the forum. If you wish to discuss a moderator’s decision about a situation, please contact them via the Private Messaging system or contact the head moderator.

The post report feature of the forum is to allow users to alert moderators to potentially offensive material posted. Any abuse or misuse of the post report tool will not be tolerated.

10. RETARDATION

People who suffer from mental retardation are prohibited to use the forum. People in breach of this rule may suffer from significant confusion. In addition, those who suffer from this condition are unlikely to contribute to any discussion(s) within the forums.
